Dress up for a spectacular night featuring live music, aerial performances, a full stage show, DJ, dancing, and a costume contest. Full bar serving your favorite beer, wine, and cocktails available for purchase. Featuring an all-star cast of provocateurs, site-specific installations, and a modern interpretation of the Dada Manifesto.

ABOUT DR. LUCKY’S SURREALIST PRODUCTIONS
Dr. Lucky’s surrealist shows have been hailed as “Striptease meets Socrates” by Brooklyn Paper, and have been featured in the New York Times, Brooklyn Paper, Time Out, Pin Curl Magazine, Animal.com, Nonsense NYC, and many others. She produces epic, multi-disciplinary, collaborative shows that challenge audiences to experience entertainment with their bodies and their minds. She currently produces Dr. Lucky’s Blue Revue, a resident show at the Hotel Andaluz in Albuquerque. The Dada Ball returns Dr. Lucky to her larger-scale productions.
Her SURREALIST BURLESQUE series at Coney Island ran for almost a decade. In 2016, she brought “SURFfest,” a Surrealist Festival/ SURF Festival celebrating Manifestos – written and performative – through Surrealist and Nautical performances dedicated to incongruous juxtapositions and the infinite possibilities of artistic production. In 2015, Hotel Tryst: No Sleep til Brooklyn presented an immersive theatre experience where patrons were invited to experience the last night of the Coney hotel before being demolished and replaced by condos. In 2014, Flaming Creatures presented a tribute to the pioneering experiential film maker, Jack Smith, in a creation of a queer, Utopic landscape of gender fluidity. The Dada Ball came in 2013 to celebrate the 5th year Anniversary of Surrealist Burlesque at Coney Island with video and surrealist photo booth installations and roam-around buffoons. In 2012, Surrealist Burlesque presented Society of the Spectacular, a show inspired by Guy Debord’s seminal text, Society of the Spectacle, featuring an “intimate theatre” experience and a show hosted by a television which was given a wine bath in the finale, a Coney Island Sideshow tradition. As featured in The New York Times, in 2011 Surrealist Burlesque took over the Coney Island complex with “Animal Funhouse” based on George Orwell’s Animal Farm, featuring a lush set –including a giant roast pig –and an epic cast of over 20 of New York City’s most spectacular nightlife creatures. In 2010, Surrealist Burlesque brought “20,000 Legs Under the Sea” inspired by Salvador Dali’s “Dream of Venus” at the New York World’s Fair (1939-40) with interdisciplinary collaborations of sound sculptures, video installations, mini lectures, and live performances. Other Surrealist Burlesque shows staged at Coney Island include: “Phantasmagoria: A Land Where All The Beauties are Monsters and All the Monsters are Beauties” (2009) and a durational performance art piece entitled “Coney Island and Spectacle as Total-Body Experience – A 12-Hour Academic Spectacular in Which We Find Our Heroine Chained to a Podium for an Interminable Period, With All the Agony and Sublime Joy That This Might Entail” (2006).
